For my sparkling apple cider, I always choose Martinelli's - the only ingredient is pasteurized 100 pure carbonated apple juice from U.S. when you're 8 years old, in the basement of Grandma's House watching Home Alone on an itchy tweed couch, trying not to fall asleep at 11:55 even though you're cool, you're cool, you can stay up ALL NIGHT. The base of this mocktail recipe requires 100 pomegranate juice, sparkling water, and sparkling apple cider. I like to get a variety of colors so that it is visually appealing as well and beautiful.Nothing says Happy New Year like a plastic flute filled with the sweet bubbles of Martinelli's Sparkling Cider. Sliced apples - these will be used for garnish.If you want to substitute these for something else, I recommend using a simple caramel sauce and a sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. These can be purchased at World Market, Smart and Final, or on the Torani website. I like using the cinnamon vanilla syrup and the salted caramel syrup. Flavored syrups - for this recipe we are using some Torani flavored syrups for a little extra flavor.You could also use apple cider for a bigger depth of flavor. But the store brand will work in a pinch. Apple juice - I like to get a quality apple juice with lots of flavor.Use your favorite brand of ginger ale or ginger beer. You can use regular ginger ale or diet if you want to cut down on the calories a bit. Ginger ale - this is where we get the fizzy bubbly flavor in the recipe.All of the ingredients for this recipe can be purchased easily at your local grocery store and online.
